20 May 2011 - Leopard Photographed in Hawf, Again!

When Murad Mohammed downloaded the latest set of images from one of the Foundation's trail cameras in the Hawf Protected Area, he was delighted to find an image of an Arabian Leopard captured on May 17.  Careful analysis of the photograph show that it is the same individual that was photographed at a different location on February 24th, but the image is useful nonetheless.  It shows that this healthy male specimen moves freely within the protected area, even crossing, on occasion, the main asphalt road to the border post.  The Hawf Leopard Survey is funded by the Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund, which is based in Abu Dhabi.
